Using Pattern Transitions

Q: How do you use the preset Pattern Transitions - for Example "ScrambleNo1"
A: After you've applied the TxEff on your text, if you want to use an external pattern like "ScrambleNo1" you have two options:
1. Drag the TXEFFPatternScrambleNo1 pattern from the Components window to your Library then, the most easiest way is to visit http://www.txeff.com and choose an effect created with the ScrambleNo1 pattern, press the "copy effect id#" button (the effect id will be copied to clipboard) then, inside your fla file, select the TxEff component, open the Component Inspector window and paste the effect id inside the textfield located next to the "Import effect id" button. Press the "Import effect id" button and you'll see that the other parameters will be set automatically.

2. Drag the TXEFFPatternScrambleNo1 pattern from the Components window to your Library, select the TxEff component and open the Component Inspector window then, set the patternName parameter to "*" and the *patternName parameter to ScrambleNo1. Choose a preset (you must choose one) and set the other parameters if you want. Then test your movie...the patterns should be applied.

Patterns Not Working
posted by Corrigo on 2008-03-20

Patterns are loaded into components. Fonts are embedded. Standard Alpa, Blur and XYscale patterns work, but if * selected and other embedded pattern called, in this case "TXEFFPattern3DCamXYZ", no text shows when playing. I've tried other patterns, followed direction, but still no text. Once again, fonts are embedded, TXEFF and the above pattern are in my library. What gives?

At this point you should get in touch with the support team (http://www.jumpeyecomponents.com/contact.htm) and maybe send over your files. They'll know what to do.
copying iD#

I can't get to the part where I copy the ID#. I have all the current patterns in Components but the button does not show up on my stage for me to select it to "Copy effect id#". have my text set up correctly and it's embeded. In the on line tutorial How to Use/working with patterns. How do you get to the area that says "Copy effect id#" on my stage in Flash because I have many patterens already in the Component area just don't know how to use them.

The "Copy effect #id" button is found on the component's page: www.txeff.com. You need to browse the list of effects found there and when you see something you like, press the "Copy effect #id" button to copy the effect's id to the clipboard.

Then, return to Flash, select the TxEff component instance from the Stage and paste the effect id into the proper text field, into the Component Inspector panel. Finally, press the "Import" button.

The trial versions do have a major limitation. They will ONLY run into debugger flash player versions, such as the Flash IDE player and the activeX FP used by developers.

Switch from Free Trial version to Full version.

You can switch from Trial to Full versions in a blink of an eye.
