Q: Can I make an Accordion (Tree) Menu that is just text--no skin or background, just elegant dropdown text
A: Yes you can. In order to obtain this menu, you have to apply a theme before, doesn't matter which one, you only need its assets. Then set the alpha to 0 for the background color of each item. This is the menu you'll obtain. In this example only the first menu is transparent, you can make all submenus transparent using the same method:
