Buy NowThis item cannot be purchased separately. To get this MCTE pattern you need to purchase one of the following products:
AboutThe Genie MCTE Pattern enables users to create genie type flash animations. The Genie pattern can be used on both static images/movieclips and dynamic content to create show/hide Genie transitions or transitionTo and transitionFrom types of Genie transitions. The Genie (also called jinnie, geny, jinni) transition is very similar to the iMac Genie window fade effect.Even if it can be used as a transition effect for Loader Pro V3, it is not the standard show/hide transition effect to be used for Loader Pro V3 and we do not recommend Genie to be primary used for Loader Pro V3. Important! In order to use all these included MCTE V3 patterns, you need to have the MCTE V3 component too, since it is the component that handles the transitions, you can purchase MCTE V3 here. Also you may want to order the Loader Pro V3 too, along with the MCTE and these patterns. CompatibilityActionScript: 2.0, 3.0Flash IDE: Flash 8, Flash CS3 FlashPlayer: FlashPlayer 8, FlashPlayer 9 Working with Custom PatternsThe MCTE internal API allows us to further develop and sell patterns separately, all you have to do in order to use them as patterns for the MCTE instances, is to drag them inside your project library and use their name as values for the customPattern parameter of the MCTE.As stated before, we sell patterns that are not initially included inside the MCTE. You can purchase those patterns without the MCTE, but they will be useless without it. We also do develop patterns for direct customers, who want a special custom developed pattern for a specific transition. In order to get a custom developed pattern just send us an email. Genie Pattern Description![]() Supports show/hide (A) and transitionTo/transitionFrom (B) state to state type transitions. Working with Loader Pro V3, supports MCTE and MCTE fade loader transitionTypes. The gain parameter is not used, customParams and presets are used instead. CustomParams • customParam1:String (numerical value) - the final X position • customParam2:String (numerical value) - the final Y position • customParam3:String (numerical value) - the final Width • customParam4:String (numerical value) - the final Height • customParam5:String ("true" or "false") - refresh content, if true, will refresh the content every frame; default:false Quick Tip Use this effect to create a Operating System-like visual interface, where windows are opening and closing using this Genie effect, just like in the MacOSX latest versions. You can use this to create custom kiosk full flash applications, and let the user manage the windows in a intuitive way. Presets Number values: 1. genie effect to bottom 2. genie effect to top 3. genie effect to right 4. genie effect to left |

Hi,
I have downloaded the trial and am thinking of upgrading to the full version but really need to know a bit more about the component to make sure it does what I need. Can you send me the fla file for the demo that is shown on how to do the genie effect with Movieclips.
Also is there any documentation on how to use this with AS?
Thanks
Pete

I've tried components from all over the place and your MCTE effects are in my top two. Just one thing though: could you post the .fla for the Genie example? I learn best by rummaging through some code which I know works. It would be great if you could do this. (I teach 9 year olds and they love all this sort of stuff!)
Thanks
